Description
A rigid vang is designed to enhance sail handling during reefing, preventing the boom from falling into the cockpit or onto the coach roof. Equipped with gas springs, it automatically elevates the boom upon release of the kicking strap, making it particularly effective for adjusting the main sail in light winds.
Rodkicker 50 joins our line of manually operated Rodkicker and is specifically sized for yachts measuring between 50 and 55 feet. While our hydraulic vangs are often preferred for this size of yachts, the traditional design of Rodkicker offers benefits due to its straightforward installation process.
Adding control lines accessible from both sides enables crew members on the windward side to quickly release the vang and avoid broaching. The vang features a 4:1 cascade system in Dyneema® core so if a 4:1 tackle is added, the overall purchase increases to 16:1. The unit generates a return force of 10,000N, utilizing two Seldén gas springs, each rated at 5,000N.

INSURANCE
All goods will be shipped covered by the Carrier’s standard insurance cover. We will help arrange further insurance cover if required.
RETURNS
If you are not satisfied with the product purchased from Sailutions Ltd, the item may be returned after receiving return authorization, within 30 days of purchase. We will replace, exchange, or credit the items. We do ask that the item be returned in the same condition as received with all of the original paperwork. Shipping charges are non-refundable. No returns
are accepted on used items, items that are not in original condition or packaging.
